WIPSA:- Women’s Initiative for Peace in South Asia
Empowering girls for Peace and Development in South Asia project works towards exaggerated peace and security within the conflict-ridden areas of the port Hill Tracts in Bangladesh, North Malay Archipelago and also the Tai state of Myanmar. This is often done through building alliances with strategic teams, coaching peace volunteers, making a fruitful dialogue method between the affected communities and alternative stakeholders, and raising awareness around women’s participation in peacebuilding processes. Wealth hunger life has been presently implementing the initiative in partnership with management Arms Foundation Republic of India (CAFI) and Bangladesh. Key achievements of WIPSA are:
- 162 peace teams and three networks in Republic of India and Bangladesh are mobilized and are active in terms of identifying/ mediating in native incidents, supporting survivors of conflict, diffusive info on rights, and making dialogue events
- 220 survivors of conflict are trained on numerous living choices (such as establishing tiny business units, poultry farms, banana cultivation, loom, and handicrafts) with seventy-fifth of them increasing their financial gain.
