throw keyword in java

throw:

throw is used to throw an exception object explicitly. It can take only one argument and that will be an exception object. Exception object to be thrown can be of either checked or unchecked exception type.

Syntax:

throw exception_object;

Example:

ExceptionThrowExample.java

 */
class ArithmaticTest{
	/**
	 * This method is used to divide two integers.
	 * @param num1
	 * @param num2
	 * @author codesjava
	 */
	public void division(int num1, int num2){

			System.out.println(num1/num2);
                //catch ArithmeticException here.
		}catch(ArithmeticException e){
			//throw exception.
			throw e;
		}

		ArithmaticTest obj =  new ArithmaticTest();

}

Output:

Exception in thread "main" 
java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zero
