NDPDC:- National Drugs and Pharmaceutical Development Council
NDPDC is the acronym for National Drugs and Pharmaceutical Development Council. It is a part of the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of chemicals and fertilizers, Government of India. The ministry aims to enable Indian pharmaceuticals’ industry in playing a prime role in the global market for pharmaceuticals. It also aims to ensure abundant availability of pharmaceuticals at reasonable prices in the country. It also aims to make sure the availability of good quality pharmaceuticals for mass consumption. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) regulates pharmaceuticals and medical devices for India. It is a government organization headquartered in New Delhi. It is under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It aims to open international offices soon. The CDSCO is has a good record with the World Health Organization (WHO). It has the licensing authority and approving authority for any new pharmaceutical drug that enters the Indian market. It lays down the standards, regulates market authorization of drugs and regulates clinical research in the country.
