IFTU:- INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS
The International Federation of Trade Unions (otherwise called the Amsterdam International) was a global association of exchange associations, existing somewhere in the range of 1919 and 1945. IFTU had its underlying foundations in the pre-war IFTU.
IFTU had close connects to the Labor and Socialist International. The IFTU was contradicted by the Communist-controlled exchange associations. After the American AFL dropped out in 1925 the IFTU turned into a for the most part European body with social majority rule introduction. Its essential movement was to campaign the League of Nations and national governments in the interest of the International Labor Organization (ILO). There were different International Trade Secretariats. The real ITS was the International Transport Workers Federation.
