How to convert enumeration to list in java?

The java.util.Collections class consists exclusively of static methods that operate on or return collections. It contains polymorphic algorithms that operate on collections, “wrappers”, which return a new collection backed by a specified collection, and a few other odds and ends.

Collections.list() method will returns an array list containing the elements returned by the specified enumeration in the order they are returned by the enumeration.
Syntax: public static ArrayList list(Enumeration e)

Example

package com.codesjava;

import java.util.Collections;
import java.util.Enumeration;
import java.util.List;
import java.util.Vector;

public class Test {
	public static void main(String a[]){
		Vector<String> vector = new Vector<String>();
		vector.add("vikas");
		vector.add("amit");
		vector.add("ajay");
		vector.add("anil");
		vector.add("mahesh");
		Enumeration<String> enumeration = vector.elements();
		List<String> list = Collections.list(enumeration);
		System.out.println("List elements: "+list);
	}
}

Output

List elements: [vikas, amit, ajay, anil, mahesh]
